Dax Bisulphite LQ

Description

Dax Bisulphite LQ from Daxter Ind LLC is a sodium bisulphite solution manufactured at our Sharjah facility for the preservation of reverse osmosis membranes during storage, shutdown and transport. This sodium bisulphite solution acts as an oxygen scavenger and biocide within the membrane housing, protecting the membrane surface from oxidative damage and preventing microbial growth during periods when the RO system is not in service.

Ready-to-dose liquid form eliminates the handling and dissolving steps required with dry sodium metabisulphite powder, improving safety and speeding up preservation procedures. Directions for Use

Dose Dax Bisulphite LQ into the RO system to achieve the concentration recommended by the membrane manufacturer for the intended preservation period — typically a defined percentage in permeate-quality water for short-term storage, higher for long-term. Circulate to fill the membrane housings completely, ensuring no air pockets remain. Seal the system. Monitor the residual concentration and pH during extended storage and top up or renew the preservation solution as required. Flush thoroughly with permeate before returning the system to service.

Handling and Storage

Wear gloves, eye protection and protective clothing. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and inhalation of vapour. Store upright in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from acids and oxidising agents. Contact with acids releases sulphur dioxide gas. Keep out of reach of children. MSDS available on request.
