Description

Dax Guard CIP Cleaner from Daxter Ind LLC is a citric acid-based BWMS CIP cleaner manufactured at our Sharjah facility for the clean-in-place (CIP) descaling and maintenance cleaning of ballast water management system components. This BWMS CIP cleaner removes calcium carbonate scale, mineral fouling and biofilm deposits from filter housings, UV reactor chambers, electrochlorination cells, sensor lines and pipework — the deposits that reduce treatment efficiency and trigger BWMS alarms if left unaddressed.

Citric acid-based BWMS CIP cleaner delivers effective descaling on the calcium and magnesium carbonate deposits that build up on wetted BWMS surfaces exposed to seawater. Preferred over stronger mineral acids for CIP cleaning because citric acid is compatible with the stainless steel, titanium and elastomer components typically used in BWMS construction, and disposal is less complex. Restores UV transmittance in UV-based treatment units and current efficiency in electrochlorination cells, both of which drop as scale builds on treatment surfaces. Ready-to-dilute liquid format simplifies the CIP procedure compared with dry citric acid, cutting cleaning cycle time and reducing handling risk. Suitable for scheduled maintenance cleaning and for corrective cleaning triggered by BWMS performance alarms across major approved system types.

Directions for Use

Isolate the BWMS section to be cleaned per the system manufacturer’s CIP procedure. Dilute Dax Guard CIP Cleaner at the ratio specified by the BWMS manufacturer or by our technical team. Circulate through the isolated section for the recommended contact time. Monitor pH to confirm the acid remains active. Drain, rinse thoroughly with clean water until neutral pH is confirmed at the discharge, and return the section to service.

Handling and Storage

Acidic product. Wear gloves, eye protection and protective clothing. Do not mix with bleach or chlorine-based products. Store this BWMS CIP cleaner upright in a cool place, away from alkaline products and out of reach of children. MSDS available on request.
