Description

Dax Bilge Water Flocculant from Daxter Ind LLC is a polyaluminium chloride (PAC) based liquid treatment manufactured at our Sharjah facility for the separation of oil residues, emulsified hydrocarbons and suspended solids from ship bilge water. This bilge water flocculant destabilises oil-in-water emulsions that resist gravity separation alone, allowing oil to coalesce and rise for capture by the vessel’s oily water separator and helping the discharge stream meet the 15 ppm oil-in-water limit set by MARPOL Annex I.

Directions for Use

Dose Dax Bilge Water Flocculant into the bilge water stream ahead of the oily water separator using a chemical metering pump, or add directly to the bilge holding tank with mixing. Set the dose rate against the observed contamination level and OWS performance. Allow adequate contact and mixing time before separation. Monitor discharge oil content per the vessel’s oil discharge monitoring equipment.

Handling and Storage

Wear gloves and eye protection during handling and dosing. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Store this bilge water flocculant upright in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children. MSDS available on request.
