Description

Dax Air Cool Cleaner from Daxter Ind LLC is a solvent emulsion air cooler cleaner manufactured at our Sharjah facility for the off-line and in-service cleaning of diesel engine charge air coolers, air-side heat exchanger surfaces and turbocharger compressor and turbine components. This air cooler cleaner dissolves oil film, carbon deposits and combustion residue that build up on air-side surfaces and progressively reduce charge air cooling efficiency, boost pressure and specific fuel consumption performance.

Key Benefits

Solvent emulsion air cooler cleaner combines solvent action on oil and carbon deposits with the rinsing action of an aqueous carrier, so contamination is dissolved and then flushed away rather than redeposited elsewhere in the air path. Restores heat transfer efficiency across charge air cooler fin surfaces, which directly reduces charge air temperature, cuts NOx emissions and lowers specific fuel oil consumption. Cleans turbocharger compressor blades, diffusers and nozzle rings on both marine main engines and auxiliary diesel gensets. Reduces the frequency of full turbocharger overhauls when used as part of a scheduled in-service cleaning programme. Suitable for two-stroke and four-stroke marine diesel engines, standby diesel generators and stationary power plant when applied per the engine builder’s cleaning procedure.

Directions for Use

For in-service turbocharger water washing, inject Dax Air Cool Cleaner into the compressor or turbine side per the engine builder’s washing procedure and interval. For off-line air cooler soaking, dilute at the recommended ratio, fill the air side, soak for the recommended contact time, then drain and rinse thoroughly. Follow the engine builder’s specific instructions on cleaning intervals, dose and permitted engine load during cleaning.

Handling and Storage

Solvent-containing product. Ensure adequate ventilation. Wear gloves, eye protection and protective clothing. Keep away from ignition sources and open flame. Store this air cooler cleaner upright in a cool, well-ventilated place, out of reach of children. MSDS available on request.
