Directions for Use

This industrial rust remover is a strong acid product. Use only by trained personnel with appropriate PPE and hazardous chemical handling training.

Wear acid-resistant gloves, chemical splash goggles or full face protection, and appropriate protective clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation throughout the work area.

Prepare the surface by removing loose scale, oil and grease before application. Heavy oil contamination will reduce acid contact and slow the rust removal action.

Apply DX-17 industrial rust remover by brush, spray, or immersion depending on the part size and access. Ensure full coverage of the rusted area.

Allow the acid to work for the recommended contact time until the rust visibly dissolves. Agitate stubborn areas with a stiff brush if needed. Do not allow the product to dry on the surface.

Rinse thoroughly with clean water until runoff is neutral pH. Neutralise treated steel promptly with an appropriate rinse and apply a protective coating or paint system, as bare treated steel will re-rust quickly in the UAE humidity.

Handling and Storage

Acidic product. Do not mix with bleach, chlorine or ammonia-based cleaners — combining them releases toxic gases.

Do not use on aluminium, galvanised steel, zinc plating, chrome plating or acid-sensitive alloys without prior compatibility check. Acid will strip or attack these finishes.

In case of skin or eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
